Salman khan perform at Vector Arena on April 21.
One of the world's biggest celebrities is heading for New Zealand, yet many Kiwis won't know his name.
Salman Khan is a Bollywood superstar and is set to perform at Vector Arena on April 21.
With 34 million Facebook followers the actor, singer and television personality is arguably bigger than any Hollywood celebrity.
Bollywood, the term for India's enormous movie industry, is the most prolific producer of film in the world in terms of productions released and people employed.
Khan will perform musical stage show Da-Bang in Auckland along with six other Bollywood stars as part of a world tour.
Promoters Samuel and Deepa Sen said the 51-year-old was the biggest star in Bollywood.
Samuel has brought Bollywood events to New Zealand since the 1990s through his company RS Promotions - and was involved with Khan's performance at the Logan Campbell Centre in 1996.
Khan was perfectionist which made the logistics of Da-Bang intricate and challenging, Samuel said.
"The way he's rehearsing and everything, he's not compromising on it."
At the start of March Samuel travelled to India for meetings in relation to the event and even got to meet Khan.
He said he was amazed at his humility and endearing personality.
Despite a tumultuous past, Samuel said Khan was a compassionate person and gave away a lot of his profits through his charity Being Human.
"He gives opportunitys to the underprivileged."
Da-Bang will be performed in English and Hindi, but English speakers won't have much difficulty following it, Samuel said.
"The way this show is designed, it just doesn't cater for Indians.
"Anyone can come and enjoy it.
"My son is seven and my mother is 68, they are both fans."

Benedict cumberbatch to stop time in new role
Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has been
roped in for an adaptation of Matt Haig's forthcoming novel where he will essay the role of a time stopper.
Following his role in Marvel Cinematic Universe movie "Doctor Strange", the 40-yearold will be seen in another sci-fl film, which
is based on the book "How To Stop Time", reports hollywoodreportercom.
The actor will star in and produce the adaptation through his SunnyMarch banner. Cumberbatch‘s own SunnyMarch banner has teamed with StudioCanal to pick up the film rights to "How to Stop Time", the forthcoming book from Haig, who has also penned "A
Boy Called Christmas", "The Last Family in England" and "The Radleys".
The actor will play Tom Hazard, a man who may look like an ordinary 41-year-old but, owing to an extremely rare condition, has been alive for centuries.
"The prospect of Benedict Cumberbatch playing Tom Hazard is a hugely exciting one and I could not be happier about working with Adam and Jamie, and to be reunited with StudioCanal," said Haig.

Who meet trump?
German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet US President Donald Trump on March 14, the German government confirmed on Friday. When asked about media reports of the Merkel-Trump meeting, German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said “we do not deny it", adding more details will be given at "appropriate time". The White House on Friday also confirmed the visit. It will be Merkel‘s first trip to the US after Trump took office, Xinhua news agency reported. Trump, during his election campaign, had publicly criticised Merkel and Germany's refugee policy as a "catastrophic failure" and "chaos".
The critics indicated a bumpy start for the ties between Berlin and Washington.
Last month, Merkel hosted the visit of US Vice President Mike Pence at Munich Security Conference, in the southeast German city. Merkel then said world conflicts require
"joint efforts", which was seen as a gentle reminder to Trump's unilateralism and antiglobalisation policies.
Trump is expected to visit Germany on July
7 and 8, attending the two-day the Group Twenty (620) summit in Hamburg.

Casual Friday
Casual Friday (also known as dress-down Friday or casual day) is a trend, which has spread to other parts of the world, in which some business offices relax their dress code on Fridays. Some businesses that usually require employees to wear suits, dress shirts, neckties, and dress shoes allow more casual attire on Fridays. Casual Friday had its origin from Hawaii's custom of Aloha Friday which slowly spread east to California, continuing around the globe until the 19903, when it became known as Casual Friday.
Friday as a designated day of the week when organisations allow employees to dress more casually than on other weekdays.
Here are a few general rules and things to keep in mind for casual Friday:
1. Denims: there should be no rips and no wild washes.
2. Putting a blazer over casual items such as a tee shirt or jeans for a professional look.
3. No sandals, flats or loafers are more appropriate.
4. Structured bags look more refined and
polished for work opposed to slouchy handbags.
5. No miniskirts or short shorts.
6. A camisole or tee underneath sheer blouses.
7. No gym clothes (including yoga pants) at work.
8. No sweatpants.

Delhi government to bring outcome - oriented budget for 2017-18
The Delhi Budget 2017-18 will be outcome-oriented and "constitute a contract between the government and the people of the national capital", Deputy Chief Minister Manish Siodia said on Wednesday.
In order to ensure that this year's budget
is "outcome-oriented", a comprehensive outcome budgeting exercise has been
carried out by all departments of the Delhi government.
Under the exercise all major programmes and schemes have been mapped against outcomes i.e. how will the people of Delhi benefit from that spending, an official statement said.
Subsequently, indicators have been defined for each output and outcome and targets for 2017-18 have been set.
Sisodia, who chaired a review meeting with all Heads of Departments in this connection, said a traditional budget emphasises only financial outlays and spending on various activities, but stops short of promising outcomes that citizens eventually care about. "This outcome budget will constitute a contract between the government and the people of Delhi," Sisodia, who also holds the finance portfolio, said.
Under the outcome budgeting exercise, each budgetary allocation will be accompanied
by a comprehensive set of quantifiable indicators, some measuring outputs and
some measuring outcomes. For example, under the Aam Aadmi Mohalla
Clinics scheme, the total financial outlay
for 2017-18 will be accompanied by output indicators measuring total number of new Mohalla Clinics that will be launched, number of medical and para-medical staff to be deployed, and number of free medicines
and tests that will be made available, the statement said.
The outcome indicators will track actual number of patients availing these services, as well as satisfaction score on a scale of 1 to 5, it added.
